On 26th September, 2019, 25 tenth graders at Archimedes Dong Anh School had the first field trip to Co Loa – the relic of an ancient urban area and military citadel located in Dong Anh District, Ha Noi.
As part of the school program called Creative School Literature, this extracurricular activity was conducted by the School Principal for the purpose of learning the story of An Duong Vuong and Mi Chau - Trong Thuy. The field trip is expected to help students widen their knowledge about literature and history, so that they can develop their pride as well as express their affections and opinions on the place they go to study.
The program was developed, introduced, and guided by Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Than - the school headmaster. The students visited and learned about the complex of religious and commemorative relics including An Duong Vuong Temple, Ngu Trieu Di Qui Communal House, My Chau Temple, Cao Lo Temple, Co Loa Citadel, etc.
At Co Loa Communal House, in particular, the students organized a historic trial themselves in which they played the part of historic characters and presented their understanding about the history. Also, the students created Xet Cong Luan Toi trial in order to judge the characters in the stories that they had learned at school. All the literary work was viewed in different perspectives and represented lively and attractively, which made the teachers really proud of.
In the near future, more extracurricular activities will be widely delivered in both primary and secondary levels of Archimedes Dong Anh School with the hope that all students can learn and enjoy them.
